Philippines Group Tour - More Info

Manila Arrival Information

Our tour starts at 6 pm at Z Hostel in Makati on day 1 of the tour. You should fly into Manila airport which is approximately a 45-minute taxi ride from Z Hostel (depending on traffic). If your flight will arrive after 5 PM, it’s best to arrive on the day before the start date. We can arrange your accommodation for the night before if needed. Extra nights will be approx. $40AUD per night.

After Do the Palawan Islands

This Palawan Islands tour finishes on the beautiful island of Coron. If you’re staying on longer in the Philippines, your group leader can help organise all of your onward travel, including any of our add-on packages. If you’re just doing the Palawan tour and then going home and need to get back to Manila, then it’s a short van ride to the airport (our tour leader can organise this for you too) and a 1 hour 45-minute flight to Manila. There are a few direct flights per day from Coron to Manila. We can also organise the flight back for you. There is an option to add this to your booking on the “optional extras page”. If you have any more questions about this, please feel free to contact us.

Travel Insurance When Travelling to The Philippines

Travel Insurance for this trip is compulsory. Your Group Leader will ask to see proof of your cover before your trip begins. We have teamed up with Nomads Travel Insurance to make this super easy for you. Grab yourself a quote here

Visas When Visiting the Philippines

Most nationalities including Australia, UK, Europe, NZ, Canada, and the US do not need a visa to enter the Philippines. If you plan to stay in the Philippines for longer than 30 days, you will need to extend your visa for a fee of approximately $80 AUD. We recommend checking with your local Philippines consulate for up to date visa requirements and costs. If you need any further help with visas just contact us.

Philippines Group Tour - FAQ's

Can I connect with my group before I leave?

Yes! Once you’ve booked and before you travel we’ll help put you in touch with the rest of your group so you can start chatting and getting to know each other.

How much spending money will I need to travel the Philippines?

All of your internal flights, activities, accommodation, transport, and some meals are included throughout the duration of the tour, so you’ll just need money for any extra meals, drinks, shopping, and any onward travel. We recommend you bring at least $500 AUD spending money for the trip.

What if I arrive early?

That’s totally fine! Unless you tell us otherwise we’ll automatically book you into our accommodation from the day you arrive. If you would like us to book you extra nights accommodation, there will be an option for you to add this to your order when you go through to the booking page.

What luggage do you recommend?

We always recommend traveling with a backpack and packing light! 10-20kgs of stuff should be plenty. It’s generally quite hot in the Philippines, so dragging around a huge suitcase is not much fun. You’ll also need a small overnight bag (we would recommend a drybag/waterproof bag) for the 3-day boat expedition.

What’s the accommodation like on tour?

A perfect mix of hotels, hostels, traditional Filipino bungalows, and beach camping! We have hand-picked accommodation throughout the Philippines which is clean, comfortable and most of all allows our travellers to enjoy an authentic Filipino experience without sacrificing comfort! Learn more about the accommodation on our group tours here

I will be travelling alone, is that ok?

Absolutely!  90% of the people who join us are solo travelers as well so you definitely will not be alone for long!  Most of our accommodation is twin or triple share, and we will put you in a room with someone of the same gender.

My favorite part of the tour was all the time we had on secluded beaches and the island hopping in Port Barton and El Nido. I loved the boat food :). You guys are professionals!
