Arrival Information

Our tour starts at 5 pm at Z Hostel in Makati on day 1 of the tour. You should fly into Manila airport which is approximately a 45-minute taxi ride from Z Hostel (depending on traffic). If your flight will arrive after 5 PM, it’s best to arrive on the day before the start date. We can arrange your accommodation for the night before if needed. Extra nights will be approx $20AUD per night.

After Do The Philippines

Do The Philippines finishes on the beautiful island of Siargao. If you’re staying on longer in the Philippines, your Group Leader can help organise all of your onward travel including any of our Add-on trips. If you’re just doing the Do The Philippines trip and then going home and need to get back to Manila then it’s a short van ride to Sirgao airport (our leader can organise this for you too) and a 1 hour 45 minute flight to Manila. There is one direct flight per day from Siarago arriving in Manila at around 6:30PM. The earliest we recommend booking an onward flight out of Manila is around 9 pm on day 16.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance for this trip is compulsory. Your Group Leader will ask to see proof of your cover before your trip begins.

Most nationalities including Australia, UK, Europe, NZ, Canada, and the US do not need a visa to enter the Philippines. If you plan to stay in the Philippines for longer than 30 days you will need to extend your visa for a fee of approximately $80 AUD. We recommend checking with your local Philippines consulate for up to date visa requirements and costs. If you need any further help with visas just contact us.

Can I connect with my group before I leave?

Yes! Once you’ve booked and before you travel we’ll help put you in touch with the rest of your group so you can start chatting and getting to know each other.

How much spending money will I need?

All of your internal flights, activities, accommodation, transport and some meals are included throughout the duration of the tour, so you’ll just need money for any extra meals, drinks, shopping, and any onward travel. We recommend you bring at least $300 AUD spending money for the trip.

What luggage do you recommend?

We always recommend traveling with a backpack and packing light! 10-20kgs of stuff should be plenty. It’s generally quite hot in the Philippines so dragging around a huge suitcase is not much fun.

Day 1Arrival

Guests will be arriving throughout the day. Your tour leader will be waiting to meet you at the roof deck of our hostel today at 6:00 pm. Grab a beer and enjoy the view of the Manila skyline while we do a quick orientation. For our first group dinner, we enjoy a delicious traditional Filipino meal before heading out to the red light district of Makati to explore the night scene.

Kawasan Falls, a pristine natural paradise nestled near the Badian mountains. Up the Matutinao River. Equip your canyoneering gear and set out on a slippery and exciting path. Scramble, hike, climb, and jump your way through a trail that takes you through ravines, across gorges, waterfalls, and into natural pools. Solo Traveller

wow, Wow, WOW! Just finished the 16 day tour and words cannot describe what an amazing experience it has been! I’ve always wanted to travel the Philippines but with over 7k islands to see and a much different transport system and way of life; I had no idea where to begin. Do You Travel took all that worry away for me. The accommodation was great, the transport was comfortable and the food was delicious (my only complaint is I couldn’t eat anymore as I was fit to burst having always been fed like a king!) The only worry I had was working out how I was going to leave the Philippines behind.. The itinerary is well planned, thought out and encompasses so much variety and life changing experiences! How often can you say that you’ve climbed one of the world’s smallest active volcanoes, chased waterfalls, seen a whole array of marine fish in their natural habitat, been mesmerised by turtles, seen starfish bigger than your head, been arms reach away from the gentle giant whale sharks, launched yourself off of mountain rocks in to clear blue seas canyonering, watched sunsets and sunrises that light up the whole sky, been fed like a king, treated like royalty and felt like you’ve found your home from home?? It still amazes me now that I literally did all of that in just 16 days! Alyssa was my tour guide and I really have to say that she made my time in the Philippines that extra special. Right before booking the tour, throughout and even on my onward journey she been on hand to answer any questions, concerns or worries I have. I’ve felt completely comfortable and safe in her hands and will be sad to say goodbye! Salamat Do you Travel and a special Salamat to Alyssa! If your considering visiting the Philippines then hesitate no more; make your dreams come true, book that flight, book this tour and live the dream because you will not regret it!!

Solo Traveller

This trip was above and beyond what I expected. Alyssa was professional, and helped to make the experince the best it could be. The highlights for me were swimming with the whale sharks, canyoneering and Siargao island hopping. I would without a doubt book another tour with Do You Travel. Complete value for money 🙂

Solo Traveller

Itinerary was awesome. Jam packed with awesome activities to the point that we were absolutely exhausted by the end, but spending 4 days in Siarago at the end of the trip was the most perfect way to finish it off!

Solo Traveller

I’m just about to finish up my 2 week trip with Do You Travel and Im so bummed that its over!.. I’ve had the time of my life! Island hopping in El Nido was my favourite being on the boat all day getting served up amazing Filipino style food! Sleeping in little huts on the beach, listening to the sounds of the waves as I fell asleep and waking up to the most epic sunrise I have ever seen! The whole group got on so well everyone was lovely! I loved the fact we all went out to eat every night as a group! Alyssa was an amazing guide and took such good care of us. I loved every second of this trip.

Solo Traveller

Such an amazing experience! Loved the itinerary especially the nights camping on the island by the bonfire. The meals provided at our beach front accommodations were mind blowing! There was so much food and it was fresh! The island hopping around port barton was sensational and the El Nido lagoons. I would recommend this trip to both solo travellers and couples, its certainly the best way to see the Philippines.
