Guests will be arriving throughout the day. Your tour leader will be waiting to meet you at the roof deck of our hostel today at 18:00. Grab a beer and enjoy the view of the Manila skyline while we conduct a quick orientation. For our first group dinner, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Filipino meal before heading out to the red-light district of Makati to explore the night scene.

Meals included: Dinner
Accommodation: Boutique hostel in the heart of Makati

Day 2:Manila Bike Tour and Puerto Princesa

After breakfast, we spend the morning in Manila on a 1.5-hour bamboo bike tour through historical Intramuros Manila. Our local tour guide will share stories of Intramuros and the Philippines. You will also have enough time to wander around these mind-blowing sites. Explore the ASEAN Garden in Puerta del Parian, pose for a picture in Puerta Real Gardens, or observe the locals in Manila Cathedral.

During the afternoon, we board the first flight of our holiday, making our way to one of the most beautiful islands in the world, namely Palawan. Once we land, we will travel by private van to our hotel in the centre of Puerto Princesa before heading out for dinner and drinks.

Meals included: Breakfast
Palawan Accommodation: Boutique Hotel

Day 3:Port Barton

After breakfast, we head to the Puerto Princesa Underground River, one of the seven wonders of nature! We will have an incredible experience while guided through the national park and exploring the underground cave systems aboard a bamboo raft. This outing is an absolute must-do while in the Philippines.

In the afternoon, we set off for Port Barton. Once we arrive, we go to our secluded beach on one of the most beautiful white-sand beaches in the Philippines. We can spend the afternoon kayaking, lounging around, and setting up our campsite for the night. Our local guide will prepare dinner, build a fire, and break out the guitar as we rock the night under the stars.

Meals included: Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Beachfront camping

Day 4:Port Barton

Today we venture out on our first snorkelling trip to see some magnificent ocean life, including sea turtles, rays, and starfish. In the evening, we get together and watch the spectacular sunset over the water and enjoy drinks and company by the bonfire. On this day, you will experience genuine #Islandlife!

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Beachfront camping

Day 5:El Nido town

The next part of our holiday adventure brings us to El Nido. We set off by van and arrive mid-afternoon to check in to our funky new hostel (do not forget to check out the rooftop pool, as it is epic!) We head to the beach tonight for sunset cocktails and a group dinner.

Accommodation: Funky hostel in the centre of El Nido

Day 6:El Nido – Waterfalls and Nacpan Beach

Our first day in El Nido takes us to a national park with three waterfalls, so jump in, swim, and enjoy the morning. You will also discover Nacpan Beach, which we know you will love! Spend the afternoon on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines, sipping cocktails in the sun. Lined with coconut trees and boasting soft white sand and crystal-clear water, this place is paradise on Earth.

In the evening, we head back to El Nido to wander around town and enjoy the nightlife.

Accommodation: Funky hostel in the centre of El Nido

Day 7:El Nido to Coron Expedition

Today we start a three-day expedition like no other! An adventure within an adventure and one of the trip highlights. You cannot have this experience when travelling on your own. We spend the next three days cruising around on a giant two-level boat through the most beautiful islands in the world, swimming, snorkelling, dancing, sunbathing, and simply relaxing.

At the end of each day, we head to base camp and spend our nights chilled in front of the bonfire enjoying cold drinks while chefs prepare our meals. We sleep under the stars in beach-facing glamping huts and tents and wake up to the most epic sunrises you will ever experience.

Meals included: Lunch, Dinner, Drinks
Accommodation: Beachfront glamping

Day 8:Linapacan Islands

Today, you can explore the Linapacan Islands. This region is one of the areas containing the cleanest and clearest waters on the planet. It is the perfect place to snorkel and relax on some of the most beautiful beaches in Palawan.

The programme for today includes exploring a turtle sanctuary, jumping from a six metres high cliff (if you dare), and meeting the Tagbuana, the local people of Linapacan. Take some time to discover their culture and way of life. Again, before sunset, we head back to base to spend the night chilling on the beach under the moonlight in front of the bonfire.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks
Accommodation: Beachfront tents

Day 9:Culion

After waking up to the most epic sunrise you have ever seen, continue north to explore the eastern part of Culion. You will discover what many consider the most beautiful sandbar on Ditaytayan Island in Palawan.

After a night on a beach, we will head to Coron for a new island-hopping tour to discover its snorkelling hotspots, where you will see thousands of fish. As the sun sets today, we dock in Coron, the end point of our marvellous expedition. We head to our hotel for some much-deserved rest. If you are up for it, join the others, head out for dinner, and explore the bars in town.

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch
Accommodation: Boutique hostel

Day 10:Bon Voyage

We do not have activities planned for the last day, but the fun does not have to stop here. If you wish to continue your travels, our expert group leaders are on hand to help you book everything you need to get to where you are heading. You may want to continue your holiday on islands in the Philippines that you have not yet visited or go to the airport to catch a flight elsewhere. We can take care of whatever you need!

Philippines Group Tour: More Information

Manila arrival information: Our excursion starts at 18:00 at Z Hostel in Makati on day one. Arrange a flight to the Manila Airport. It is approximately a 45-minute taxi ride from Z Hostel (depending on traffic). We suggest you don’t take a flight that arrives after 17:00 on day one. Instead, come a day earlier as we can arrange accommodation for the extra night beforehand. It should cost about AUD 40.

After you travel to the Palawan Islands: The Palawan Islands tour finishes on the beautiful island of Coron. If you wish to stay in the Philippines longer, your group leader can help organise your onward travel, including any of our add-on holiday packages.

If you are doing the Palawan tour only and need to get back to Manila for your flight home, it’s a short van ride to the airport (our tour leader can organise this for you) and a 1.45-hour hop to Manila.

There are several direct flights per day from Coron to Manila. We can also organise your flight back. There is an option to add this to your booking on the optional extras page. Why not contact us if you have any questions?

Travel insurance: Travel Insurance is compulsory for this trip. Your group leader will ask for proof of your cover before you set out. We have teamed up with Nomads Travel Insurance to make this super easy for you, so get a quote.

Visa requirements: Most nationalities, including Australia, the UK, Europe, New Zealand, Canada, and the US, do not need a visa to enter the Philippines. If you plan to stay longer than 30 days, you will need to extend your tourist visa for a fee of approximately AUD 80.

We recommend checking with your local Philippines consulate for up-to-date visa requirements and costs. Feel free to contact us if you need further help with visas.

Philippines Group Tour: Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Connect With My Fellow Group Members Before I Leave?

Yes! Once you have booked and before you travel, we will put you in touch with the rest of your party so you can start chatting and getting to know each other.

How Much Spending Money Will I Need?

The tour price includes all your internal flights, activities, accommodation, transport, and some meals. You will need money for extra meals, drinks, shopping, and any onward travel. We recommend you bring at least AUD 500 spending money for the trip.

What Happens if I Arrive Early?

That is fine! Unless you tell us otherwise, we will automatically book you into our lodgings from the day you arrive. Would you like us to organise accommodation for a few extra nights? There is an option that allows you to add these to your order when you go through to the booking page.

Do You Have Luggage Suggestions?

We always recommend travelling with a backpack and packing light. About 10 kg to 20 kg should be plenty. It is generally quite hot in the Philippines, so dragging around a mammoth suitcase is not much fun. You will also need a small dry or waterproof overnight bag for the three-day boat expedition.

Can You Tell Me More About the Accommodations?

The accommodations comprise hotels, hostels, traditional Filipino bungalows, and beach camping! We have hand-picked accommodation throughout the Philippines that is clean, comfortable, and, most of all, allows our travellers to enjoy an authentic Filipino experience without sacrificing comfort. Ask us for more information about where you will stay when on our group tours.

I Will Travel Alone. Is That Okay?

Absolutely! Ninety percent are solo travellers, so you will not be alone long! Most of our accommodation consists of a twin or triple share, and we will put you in a room with someone of the same gender.
